What does your company owe this month?
A 12-month tax calendar for all three people involved: the owner sees the big picture, the chief accountant keeps control, the accountant gets a checklist and knows how many days ahead to start. Kept to current law, and free to add to your phone.
VAT filing
Pays social insurance
Foreign-invested company
An .ics file for Google Calendar, iPhone or Outlook. Repeats every year and reminds ahead of each deadline.
2026
January 2026
3 deadlines
Deadlines on a Saturday, Sunday or fixed public holiday are moved to the next working day. Tet and the Hung Kings' day change each year: check the holiday notice.
January: 3 deadlines, 2 of them vital.
The big picture to keep control
- Due30/1
Provisional CIT for last quarter
Look at the year-to-date profit and the provisional amount.
- Due2/2
VAT and PIT returns for last quarter, and payment
the law says 31/1, moved off a day off
Compare the quarter's tax with the same quarter last year and have the cash ready.
- Due2/2
Social, health and unemployment insurance, and union fee
the law says 31/1, moved off a day off
Check the insured headcount matches the payroll.
What practitioners always remind
6 things that are not on the calendar but often cost money
Late interest of 0.03% a day
Counted every day, weekends and holidays included, from the day after the deadline. About 11% a year, above a bank loan.
Provisional CIT of at least 80%
If the four quarters fall below 80% of the year's tax, the shortfall bears late interest from the Q4 deadline.
Contractor tax on each payment
Paying a foreign party (software, royalties, interest, services) means filing on their behalf, not at month end.
A valid digital signature
A token that expires on filing day means filing late. Check its expiry every quarter, renew 30 days ahead.
Correct before you are asked
Correct a mistake before an audit is announced: you pay late interest only, not the 20% penalty.
Business licence fee abolished
From 2026 there is no business licence fee, so this calendar has no 30 January deadline as before.
The service pair
Bookkeeping + Tax Reporting
Tax returns are built from the books. When one firm keeps the books and another files the returns, nobody answers for the final figure, so Kaizen takes the two together: the books kept right every month, the returns filed on time on this calendar.
